Nestled on a hill somewhere in St Andrew, Jamaica, Jasmin gets to soak in the best of both worlds. From her perch, she can gaze upon the vibrant cityscape of Kingston, all while reveling in the simplicity of countryside living. But the real magic happens when the sun starts its descent. After a day of tackling challenges, Jasmin unwinds on her rooftop, catching the breathtaking sunset, or begins another day by waking up to the serenity of a sunrise. Jasmin harvests ackees and bananas from her backyard whips up a delicious meal, and savors it on her rooftop retreat. All while soaking in the panoramic view. It’s the perfect backdrop for her to enjoy the fruits of her labor – literally.

Residing in the hills of Jamaica, Jasmin embodies her mantra, ‘Let’s make the little things beautiful,’ both in her professional and family life. As a devoted dog mom to two Catahoula leopard dogs, she cherishes weekend dates exploring off-the-beaten-track gems in Jamaica.

Jasmin Aslan, the newly appointed Group CEO of Entrepreneurial Partners, and Director of International Business Development Agency, Aslan International, brings over a decade of international business entrepreneurship experience, having successfully built and expanded multimillion-dollar companies. Born in Germany to immigrant parents, Jasmin knows only the values of pursuing dreams and hard work from her upbringing.

Her journey into entrepreneurship began at her father’s car engine parts manufacturing business, where attention to detail and craftsmanship were vital for competitiveness in the automotive industry. Raised in a family of Middle Eastern ethnicity and Islamic faith, Jasmin, the eldest of three sisters, became the first in her family to attend university. Despite her parents’ divorce, her father remained a steadfast supporter and father figure, while Jasmin played a pivotal role in assisting her mother in raising her younger sisters.

She learned early on how to navigate the complexities of the Diaspora and, while blending Caribbean culture and Muslim beliefs, Jasmin learned the significance of family, tradition, and community.

Driven by a love for life, diverse cultures, people, nature, and animals, Jasmin desired to explore beyond Germany and felt the Caribbean would be ideal because of her experiences with the diaspora. Her first introduction to Jamaica happened when she interned with the Jamaica National Human Rights Council at 21. She then developed a deep connection with the island, eventually making it her home in 2020.

Leaving behind familiar surroundings, Jasmin faced the challenge head-on, determined to succeed with no fallback options. Adapting to the nuances of Caribbean life, she embraced the experience, becoming an advocate for Brand Jamaica. Her social media presence reflects her love for the country and shares the warmth of its people, the beauty of the landscape, and the passion in Jamaican creativity.

What gets her truly pumped?

It’s the positive impact she makes on the lives of Caribbean entrepreneurs. Imagine this: when her strategies work their magic and businesses grow, it’s not just about profits for Jasmin. It’s about the ripple effect that touches the lives of entrepreneurs, employees, and beyond.

As a cultural ambassador for the Caribbean in Europe, Jasmin shares some of the most memorable projects used to spread the word about the region’s beauty, diversity, and fascinating history.

Jasmin believes in the saying “charity starts at home,” and, for her, home is Jamaica. She’s convinced her local friends to discover Jamaica’s beauty and vacation there, a decision they’ve been grateful for. This is just one of the ways Jasmin shares her love for Jamaica’s beauty and history.

On a larger scale, Jasmin teamed up with the biggest Caribbean online platform in Europe during the COVID-19 pandemic. The efforts of this collaborative effort in the Caribbean Diaspora benefitted the Organization Food for the Poor Jamaica, supporting families that were facing financial challenges throughout the lockdown.

For years, Jasmin has organized cultural events in France, Germany, the UK, and the Netherlands, targeting the Caribbean community. It’s all part of her effort to enhance and protect Caribbean culture in the Diaspora.

Leveraging Her Online Platform to spotlight Caribbean Culture, Fashion, Lifestyle, and Agriculture.

Jasmin leverages her social media presence on Instagram and LinkedIn to not only showcase her professional side but also to raise awareness about societal and economic issues. Fueled by a deep passion, she encourages Caribbean people to embrace their identity, acknowledging their resilience in the face of neo-colonial societies. Jasmin discusses the crucial need for societal and mindset transformations while advocating for the establishment of institutions that foster human capabilities.

On her platform, she doesn’t shy away from addressing women’s empowerment issues, reflecting her unwavering passion. Jasmin uses her platform as a megaphone for her love and appreciation for Jamaica, its captivating beauty, rich culture, and even her enthusiasm for its food. Being a multicultural individual, Jasmin views her online presence as a means to authentically engage her audience, aiming to shift their perspectives on Caribbean people and mindsets. The fact that hardworking women, despite their dedication, struggled to provide for their families due to insufficient wages hit Jasmin hard. It sparked a determination to make a difference. For her, this isn’t just about handing out care packages; it’s a crucial boost to women’s health and overall well-being.
