Stacy-Ann Smith boasts a distinguished career spanning 12 years as a therapist, with expertise honed through firsthand experiences with human trafficking in Indonesia, Vietnam, Jamaica, and the United States.
Her personal journey, marked by overcoming the trauma of sexual abuse at a young age, has empowered her to champion the cause, both locally in Jamaica and on the global stage. She is a licensed Counselling psychologist with a Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology and certifications in trauma counseling.
As the founder and CEO of Pursued International, Stacy-Ann leads efforts to raise awareness, educate communities, advocate for policy reforms to combat human trafficking, and support survivors. In 2023, she was honored with The Children’s Advocate’s Recognition Award from the Office of the Children’s Advocate. Stacy-Ann’s resilience, courage, and unwavering commitment to justice serve as an inspiration, rallying others to join the fight against modern-day slavery.


Joniel M. Gyles
Storyteller, Writer and Editor
Joniel M. Gyles, born in Kingston, Jamaica, and raised in Linstead, developed a deep love for reading that shaped her journey as a writer and editor. Educated at Ardenne High School and later The University of the West Indies (UWI), she pursued a minor in Literatures in English, fueling her passion for storytelling. Joniel’s writings reflect a wealth of knowledge and experience, infused with experimental eccentricity.
Her work gained recognition with her first published poem, Christmas A Ben Dung Lane (2015), in The Caribbean Writer, followed by a JCDC Merit Award (2017) for her short story Why Brer Nancy Nuh Have Nuh Woman. She later explored film, and in 2018, she was selected to participate in cohort 2 of the British Council, JAMPRO, and JAFTA Film Lab.
Now a Lifestyle Writer/Editor at The Beyond Woman Magazine, Joniel sees her work as an extension of herself, using her artistry to inform, challenge, and inspire through Lifestyle, Beauty, and Faith/Inspo pieces infused with faith, humor, and authenticity.
M’Lonie (Faith Waltson)
Multi-talented artist, Athlete, and Writer
Her journey in music began before the early 2000s, gaining momentum through collaborations with Dancehall producer Richard “Shams” Browne. Her voice became a staple on hit riddims like “Concubine” and “Bang Bang,” and she later gained international recognition when her song “Watch It” was featured on MTV’s Jersey Shore. In 2025, she collaborated with LUNR79 on Who I Am.
Beyond music, M’Lonie has dominated the athletic world, securing wins in 5K races, excelling in MMA, boxing, and OCR, and representing Jamaica at the OCR World Championships. She also played key roles in Jamaica’s lacrosse teams and ventured into stunt work for HBO’s Get Millie Black and the Bob Marley biopic One Love (2024).
In 2024, she expanded into business, managing Uncle Kush dispensary and Avril’s gaming lounge, while also securing a permanent writing role at The Beyond Woman Magazine. Committed to authenticity and self-determination, M’Lonie continues to push boundaries across multiple industries.
